    This step worked for me.

    1. Once you pause updates for 1 week, make sure you restart your PC.
    2. Then resume updates
    3. Problem fixed

    I found a really easy fix. This error is due to the updates already being installed.

    Simply scroll down in the Windows Updates, and:

    1. click on pause updates for 1 week.
    2. resume updates again

    Windows updates will recheck for new updates and it will be fixed.
