    This absolutely worked. You'd think Microsoft could design the system smarter so that it'd recognize the updates were already installed...

    Anyway, thank you for such a simple working answer!

    Seems to have worked. At least long list of updates has disappeared, which was showing in installed updates as well as available updates.

    I found a really easy fix. This error is due to the updates already being installed.

    Simply scroll down in the Windows Updates, and:

    1. click on pause updates for 1 week.
    2. resume updates again

    Windows updates will recheck for new updates and it will be fixed.

    That worked!
