    Also, don't download driver updates, they can be outdated and therefore will keep trying to download because you have the same or a newer driver and Windows Update does not recognize them.

    This did not work. I contacted Microsoft Support and Songo helped me hide the HP update with Quick Assist and Command Prompt as Admin. It took some time, but worth it not to have that show up all the time. Be advised that the fix will be intitially blocked as harmful to your computer, but it can be allowed manually.

    I found a really easy fix. This error is due to the updates already being installed.

    Simply scroll down in the Windows Updates, and:

        1. click on pause updates for 1 week.

    2. resume updates again

    Windows updates will recheck for new updates and it will be fixed.
