'Standard hardware security not supported', till now the error is not fixed in Version 10.0.22621.674 also.

Yesterday, I contacted the Microsoft Windows Support Team. They informed me that this issue has been identified and, to resolve it, an update will be released soon (probably by the end of this month).

I reverted back to Windows 10 four days ago. Today I got a notification for the Windows 11 22H2 update. Please inform me when they release the fix so that I can proceed with the Windows 11 update.

    Don't worry.

    When I restarted the computer, the documentation in the folder disappeared, because it was added earlier with Administrator permissions, but not with SYSTEM owner permissions. Although the folder is now empty, the Windows Security Platform application was reinstalled and restarted to complete the installation. And so it continues, so everything is fine.

    Either way, Microsoft will release an update for Windows 11 soon that will fix this issue with Microsoft Defender and Windows Security for good.

    ***UPDATE***

    The fix above did download a file to my empty Security Health folder, Windows Security was reinstalled and Device Secuity opened. I could access the options. However, due to other WIN11 issues I decided to do another Reset. I have Device Security accessible but there is no file in the Security Health folder, just like it was before I did the fix above. Maybe Microsoft updated something?

    I'm IT helpdesk for a 100 person SMB. Working on a whole stack of Dell Latitude 5520, 5530, and 5531's, many of them right out of the box or recently imaged, fresh updates to Windows 11 22H2. All of them had this error.

    After hours of googling and hair-pulling this solution worked for me, as well. Although my implementation was a bit different. I first ran the 1.0.2207.20002-0 Microsoft.SecHealthUI_8wekyb3d8bbwe.appx file from the Box download. Then I reboot "in safe mode" to get to a command prompt. Only from there am I able to delete the contents of the C:\Windows\System32\SecurityHealth folder. No amount of fiddling with permissions allows me to delete it otherwise, because the unstoppable "Windows Security Service" has a lock on those folders when Windows is running.

    So after running the appx and deleting the folder in safe mode I confirm that Windows Security Center has full functionality (including all the Device Security functions) again. Thank you for your efforts on behalf of the community, hopefully M$ will see this thread and release a proper fix in the near future. 😉
