I purchased 16 GB of RAM (Atech) just in case I am able to return the new E6530 with the defective keyboard and need to return it with it's original RAM (Crucial/Micron). Recall right now it has the memory from the old E6530 which produces the "No Physical Memory.." message problem in the old E6530 but appeared to work fine in the new E6530 without any "No Physical Memory..." message before the keyboard death. (The seller of the new E6530 has not responded to my inquiry yet and I don't expect he/she to.) The Atech memory seems to work in the old E6530 i.e. no "No Physical Memory..." message when trying to boot Legacy devices (HD or DVD/CD).
I am still looking for a keyboard to replace the new E6530 defective one. I found a few on eBay, but some seem to have more ribbon cables than mine and I am not sure what these are for or whether having them will still work in my laptop.
