Well I started again and definitely used the reg add correctly (it saved ok and showed correctly after reboot) but donotdisturb still defaults to on. Anyone gone any better ideas?

I have turned it off in Windows setting multiple times but it keeps turning back on. I do not want it on and I have never wanted it on. I did not know it was even a possibility to turn it on until it started doing it on its own.
How do I turn it off and leave it turned off for good?

2023-03-18T17:49:57+00:00 I found that if you minimize the Notifications window rather than closing it then donotdisturb stays off even if you reboot, and the notifications window stays on the taskbar after the reboot as well.

open our email account- my is called Outlook.
Outlook has a setting icon like a gear or cog- top RH side.
click on this and you will see
Desktop notifications
click on this to turn it on.
