Jumping out on this thread, I followed exactly that as you said and I managed to have the Quick Access back under the home (formerly quick access) icon, exactly as your screenshot. And as you said, it's not expanded by default, and would love an update on that if you find a fix.
Things that are still a problem in my opinion :
- The divider is just a clutter and impossible to remove, or move wherever you like.
- The space between items (and their size) has increased in such a way that, when opening explorer, you can no longer see all the way down, without a full screen window, or scrolling down. Another idiotic thing, very easy to customize if the option was there.
- The one drive is still on top of this silly divider, as opposed to beeing with the other cloud services where it belongs.
I'v used that as a quick fix, until hopefully an official fix, or windows 12.... Where hopefully they'll bring the legacy start menu back, but that's another topic...
