Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update

I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?

Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.

Thanks for any help.

It's 2/28/23 and yesterday's update just removed the My Favorites navigation from the left window. Something I've used for YEARS and built my navigation workflow around. Why now? I don't know, but now none of the workarounds discussed here work.

I'm so pissed off by this. As someone else said, MS just "fixed" something that wasn't broken and basically f'd it up. Do you even ask your customers how they use the f-ing software? You **** just cost me an hour of trying to figure out what went wrong with a basic feature that NOONE in the their right mind could POSSIBLY screw with. I'm sending over a bill for you idiots wasting my time!!

What does a Apple Powerbook cost these days?

I totally agree with you. They need to stop changing the interface just for the sake of changing the interface. This particular change added no value and made the product worse! STOP DOING THIS MICROSOFT!!!

I agree. I wish I never installed this new update.

I even showed my coworker how to use Quick Access a few months ago because it makes it so much easier. Now I have to search where it saved and my computer has a hard time of finding where it is saved. So unorganized of MS to do this. I hate having to search for a file I literally just saved because I am constantly downloading to save to my CRM. Super Lame MS

Did this fix work for anyone?

After seeing this I made another attempt finding a fix. I tried this as well as a few other threads that took me down similar paths. Nothing worked for me. I would be very interested to hear if anyone had luck. I may even ChatGBT it. It feels like the correct registry key hacks will be the solution if there is one to be had. I am glad to know I am not the only person that despises this unnecessary change by Microsoft.
