My recent file is no longer there. It what disappeared.
Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update
I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?
Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.
Thanks for any help.

2023-02-14T11:45:53+00:00 I totally agree! This update just took place on my laptop yesterday and it's totally messed up my flow of doing things. I relied on having those quick access folders on the left hand pane, and now I have to do a lot of fiddling.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

2023-02-18T17:32:24+00:00 I have the same issue / frustration except that now my Home page will not load. It spins endlessly and never loads my files. I have tried everything. This is MORE than a productivity hit - It has made my new Windows 11 machine a giant paperweight. Thank GOODNESS I saved my WIndows 10 laptop when I uploaded. I will literally have to go back to using my OLD machine because Microsoft has killed Windows 11.
I am more frustrated that we don't have a single method for fixing this, it's just "suck it up" from Microsoft.

2023-02-28T10:23:22+00:00 I understood you have verschlimmbessert this feature, but leaving this aside - it simply doesn't work anymore on my machine.
Clicking 'An "Start" anheften' ('Pin to Start') has absolutely no effect anymore. Surely, it is saved somewhere (since the menu item changes to 'Von Start lösen' as soon as pinned), but there are only some randomly selected folders shown under 'Schnellzugriff' ('Quick Access'), some of them pinned, some not, but no folders I intentionally pinned.
What can I do to make 'Pin to Start' have any effect?
