Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update

I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?

Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.

Thanks for any help.

In a typical masterful Microsoft way, instead of changing to "Pin to Home", they left it "Pin to Quick Access", which does not show anymore.

I am still waiting for a solution to the Meeting invitation auto delete from Inbox to be fixed, but I don't hold my breath for any of these issues.

Maybe this helps you. I also wish someone could pin this here, but not going to happen I guess

The post from PlannerJ is very helpful. Thank you!

Simply deselect the Show Recommended Section in the Privacy group of the Folder Options.

This restored all my pinned folders from before the upgrade to Windows 11.

I have just the same. BUT I have on my Desktop a shortcut called "Quick access", which must have been carried over from Win 10 when I upgraded. When I click this shortcut, I get a list of exactly the folders for which I have chosen "Add to Quick access" in their context-menu. Just what I (and lots of others) want.

When viewing my Quick access items, Explorer's address bar just shows "Home". If I click this, I am shown two lists of items - "Recommended" and "Favourites", neither of these is the same as what I am shown after clicking the "Quick access" shortcut on my desktop.

So it is mysterious just what this "Quick access" shortcut is pointing to -- its Properties give no clue.
