Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update

I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?

Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.

    I want to find Recent FOLDERS, not files. And Explorer Home won't let me "favorite" folders.

    See my post above. Despite the right-mouse menu saying ‘Add to favourites’, you can’t favourite a folder. A folder can be added to the libraries list. That’s the best I’ve been able to find.

    Windows 11. I just want to pin a shortcut (to a local drive) so it shows in my file explorer navigation pane. Seems it should be so simple, but I can't do it. I seemingly successfully paste the shortcut to "Eliot - Personal", but it does not show in navigation under Eliot - Personal. I see it in Quick access (under HOME), but NOT in the navigation pane). Any advice. How do I get the ^$%* thing somewhere, anywhere in my navigation pane?

    Any advice most humbly appreciated.

    One way would be to create a shortcut that points to the location/drive you want. You can then place the shortcut anywhere you choose, like the desktop. However, that won’t show up in the navigation pane of Explorer - it will be in the contents of the folder containing the shortcut.

    The only way I’ve found to do what you want is to create a library pointer to the location. Library pointers show up in the Library folder in the navigation pane along with Documents, Downloads, etc.
