Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update

I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?

Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.

Thanks for any help.

I get a different list which does not include "show all folders", so there are obviously different versions of Windows 11.

    Please help

Since Covid have setup customers using redirect folders

    Downloads, Documents and Desktop

so those 3 want to see in Quick Access and also want to point to driveletter:\users\username\OneDriveBusinessname\

    either Downloads, Documents, Desktop,

the goal is when saving to downloads or documents that is the default to point to OneDriveBusinessname

    We also use

Configuration of the My Documents folder

    From <https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/310746/configuration-of-the-my-documents-folder>

Operation to change a personal folder location fails in Windows

    From <https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2936105/operation-to-change-a-personal-folder-location-fails-in-windows>

To work around this issue, follow these steps:

    1. Right-click the Windows logo at the lower-left corner of the screen, and then click Run.
    2. Type regedit.exe and press Enter. If User Account Control window pops up, click Yes.
    3. In Registry Editor, browse to the following path:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
    4. Refer to the following table to find the registry key for the folder that encounters this issue, and change it to the default value.
    Folder Registry key Default value
    Downloads {374DE290-123F-4565-9164-39C4925E467B} %USERPROFILE%\Downloads
    Desktop Desktop %USERPROFILE%\Desktop
    Favorites Favorites %USERPROFILE%\Favorites
    Music My Music %USERPROFILE%\Music
    Pictures My Pictures %USERPROFILE%\Pictures
    Videos My Video %USERPROFILE%\Videos
    Documents Personal %USERPROFILE%\Documents
    1. Restart the Explorer.exe process to make the changes take effect. To do this, you can use either of the following steps:
      • Restart the process in Task Manager.
      • Sign out, and then sign in.
      • Restart the computer.

so this is the screen shots

The folder can't be moved here

Can't move the folder because there is a folder in the same location that can't be redirected. Access is denied.

Again for those searching through this thread, the solution is the following:

Right click where you used to see your quick access (far left pane for most and in the screen shot in the original post) uncheck the "show all folders" box.

If you still do not see your pinned quick access you may have to go back and re-pin to quick access.
