Why the incomplete renaming/function modification, I wonder? Did the MS designers forget that the menus still say "Pin to Quick Access"? If Quick Access no longer exists by that name, seems like the menus ought to have been something to update , too.
Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update
I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?
Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.
Thanks for any help.

2023-11-15T19:19:22+00:00 I was wondering about this too. I think I figured a way to get it.
Right click on the left pane. Uncheck "Show all folders". This segments the left lane into three. The top has Home and Cloud, the middle section is the Quick Access and Recent folders, and the bottom sections are your drives. Quick access folders just have a pin next to them.
I was initially confused because I was trying to spot "Quick Access" but found it nowhere. Hope this helps.

2023-03-10T15:24:13+00:00 "Quick Access" has been removed in its traditional form; however if you go to Start > Recommended > More this will show you recently downloaded items and such, which is what I usually used Quick Access for in Windows 10.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the information...
No. This does not help at all. What you suggest in no way resembles the functionality of the Quick Access option in explorer. While I appreciate the thought, this was not the least bit helpful.

Folks, we have a winner! Though the section is not labeled as such, this is the quick access. I use a temp folder. My quick access is visible in this described area.
I had to go into options to find and uncheck show all folders. But there are my quick access shortcuts clear as day!
Big shout out to Cyked92!!!

2023-10-03T14:24:45+00:00 I have been on this thread for quite a while. There have been some suggestions and workarounds offered up. None have worked or been adequate. Maybe this will be addressed someday but I am not hopeful. My understanding is that Windows Explorer is getting a facelift. I shudder to think what the new interface will look like. These kinds of upgrades are real productivity killers. But they have some crazy people working at Microsoft. The brain trust behind Office 365 groups is an example of how little our opinons matter. But we are luddites if we complain. So hang on to yourself. THere are changes coming...
