Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update

I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?

Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.

Thanks for any help.

I sure have wasted a lot more than an afternoo on this stupid change. Thank you for your post. How could Microsoft do this to us?

I spent about three hours trying to fix this after I got a new laptop - tried every solution I could find on the net. Finally, the only thing that worked was adding the "Add_Pin_to_Quick_access_to_context_menu" regedit key to the registry and then removing the key with "Remove_Pin_to_Quick_access_from_context_menu" from the registry. I then had to run the "Add_Pin..." regedit again. No idea what/why/how and I am pretty decent at doing my own self taught IT for many years.

Basically, download the two regedit keys, run the first one, run the second one, run the first one. Suddenly quick access shows up at the top of my home screen in explorer. Gods, what a waste of an afternoon...

I am with you 100%. Why on earth did they change this? My laptop shows the option to pin to quick access but where do they show up? where is quick access?

In the command bar click on the three dots

then Options -> View -> scroll down in Advanced settings window -> Navigation pane -> uncheck "Show all folders"

Hopefully afterwards you can see the Quick Access again
