Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update

I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?

Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.

Thanks for any help.

Why? This was a feature I used all of the time. Considering the billions of other features, this was actually practical. In stead of removing it, why couldn't they simply disable the feature by default and still allow people to enable it.

I'm confounded with some of the changes with Win 11. Bad design is when you remove features or make changes for the sake of making changes, or making changes based on the intuition of a small team, or worse, the opinion of one person. Did they take a poll on this one?

It flies in the face of logic. It makes moving around to different folders quick and efficient. Now what? What's the alternative? I think Microsoft needs to provide users with an alternative when it removes something. I'd love to know what's my alternative. How much time to have to waste now trying figure that out. I actually have work to do. I don't want to spend my days and nights, relearning things that were already well designed.

Not happy. This is a dumb decision.

Hmmm, so I was being a bit slow on the uptake!

It appears that in the latest Windows 11 release, Quick Access in the left navigation pane has been removed as a folder in its own right.

If you want to access recently used files and folders, Quick Access is now found by clicking the Home option in the navigation pane.

Once again Microsoft makes things less clear and fixes something which wasn't broken.

    TOTALLY AGREE!!

On top of that, some of the pins disappear the next time you open it. :-(

I just followed your tip [disable the "show all folders" option] and bang. My quick access completely disappeared !!

No way, so far, to recover the Quick Access section in the panel, do you know how to recover it ?

    Thanks
