I have search for this menu to enable an upload that is not a verified MS app. I need to change the settings but everywhere I search, I cannot find it.

So frustrating that I can't download any apps to run.

In my case this solution wasn't working, I fixed it by right clicking "Windows security" in the start menu, "App settings" and then "Reset". Data is not really deleted, I still have all the protection history.

THANK YOU! Windows should be ashamed of themselves! I am an advanced user and went around in circles trying to resolve this! They are making this difficult just to force people to give up and use their products which pushes people even further away. All the money spent to make to UI frustrating so users give up could have been spent making better products that people willingly want to use instead of wasting all that time trying to force it on people. As soon as something else comes along, I will be jumping ship and will not forget this. It's horribly unethical and Microsoft has shown its true colors. Change this behavior or keep losing to your competitors Microsoft!!

I'm also having the same issue. Let's try and sort this out. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3. It's brand new. I also have all of the latest Windows updates. What type of machines are y'all using, and have you installed the latest updates?

I had the same issue so I had to take my computer from S mode. Go to Microsoft store to change it.
