have you ever heard of running a download through an antivirus if unsure if the source is legit or not? you can also check wether it is signed by MS, this is. The only way to not fall pray to the baddies of the world is to have some basic common sense:

1. always scan downloaded files from unverified sources through a reliable up to date Antivirus.
2. if still unsure check wether downloaded app is signed by MS by checking the file properties

Exactly..... Could of said it better !! Same ole **** and want it gone... Drives me nutz !! LOL

This is very annoying. Even after pausing and then resuming the updates, the HP USB update still shows up when you search for new updates.

I don't know if Microsoft is to blame or HP or both but this should get fixed.

I should be able to click "Check for updates" and it checks. I should not have to see too failed HP updates and then hit pause updates and then hit resume updates just to see if I actually have an update.

how did you fix the problem

Yes this works! For anyone that still have this problem try to pause and then look for updates again, if it doesn't work still you need to hide the update and then do what I said before
