How to change volume bar from middle bottom to top left on the screen

Volume2 will let you add a volume onscreen display anywhere you want on the screen and you can change the look of it but the original will still be where it is now too. You can also use hotkeys to control volume and mute when your keyboard doesn't have media keys. I highly recommend it.

They changed the position of the volume and brightness on-scree controls in version 22h2, and currently, there is no setting or even a known registry hack that can move that to the top left of the screen.

While your problem is indeed related to (unwanted) volume display, the issue you describe, and more specifically your screenshots, are not the same issue that is being discussed in this thread, which is about windows 11 volume display, with a white bar that appears in the bottom middle of the screen. Read some of the earlier posts and you will see it is not the same as your issue.

I was posting about the volume adjustment indicator and the brightness adjustment indicator. I have a Lenovo Laptop G50-80 running Windows 10. Battery management was controlled in Settings, and there was no problem with the volume and brightness OSDs.

Then I installed em225w7.exe (LenovoEnergyManager) which took over battery management. After that, whenever I changed volume and brightness I saw these BIG FAT UGLY OSDs at the bottom of my screen:

I found an article that mentioned the same problem with the Lenovo Ideapad:

The author wrote "you have to manually kill the Utility.exe application (Battery Management Software Ver3.0) in Task Manager." His suggestion worked for me, but the problem returned every time I booted my computer. My solution works better, and returns battery management to Settings which always worked fine. I can reenable the Lenovo Battery Management any time I want.

This solution may not work for you.

This makes no sense. First of all, Window 10 doesn't even have the problem - it's only Win11 22H2 that moved the volume bar to the bottom. Secondly, your instructions would only apply to Lenovo PCs. Thirdly, disabling a feature that people might want (battery management) sounds like a poor workaround (and such a utility is unlikely to touch volume bars anyway). Were you perhaps intending to reply to a different question?

I have Windows 10 and this worked for me.

SOLUTION:

Open Task Manager. Click the Startup tab. Look for "Lenovo Battery Management Software Ver 7.0" and disable it. Restart your computer.
