How to change volume bar from middle bottom to top left on the screen

for those just joining us, please see my post which (In my humble opinion) accurately summarizes the solution (that worked for me). Yes it requires installing two different programs (one of which is third party; one is from the good ol' MS app store) but such is the way it is until Windows overlords listen to their users and stop making horrible UX decisions.

In that case, you don't actually have the problem this thread is talking about. The rest of us have Windows 11 with version 22H2 or newer, which changed the position of the volume bar to the bottom center of the screen. If yours is still on the top left, you have an older version of Windows.

I don't think this computer is using ModernFlyouts (it's a company computer, I'm almost sure they're not modding them, lol.) It also doesn't drag at all, just floats up there in the top left and it's not transparent.

If you're using ModernFlyouts to get your top-left bar, it can be moved as desired - drag the part in the top center (with what looks like a long dash in it). But I don't know a way to change the fade timing - I too would like it faster.
