The latest update just put the volume indicator on the bottom middle of the screen and made it super tiny!
Please fix this, it's not a good feature.

Hi, usually on my screen's display, when I pressed the volume button on the keyboard, the volume bar will show on my screen at the top left. However, I accidentally pressed a lot of buttons, and the volume bar change from top left of the screen to the middle bottom of screen.
How do I change it back to the top left of screen? Thank you.

2023-11-25T16:57:36+00:00 While your problem is indeed related to (unwanted) volume display, the issue you describe, and more specifically your screenshots, are not the same issue that is being discussed in this thread, which is about windows 11 volume display, with a white bar that appears in the bottom middle of the screen. Read some of the earlier posts and you will see it is not the same as your issue.

Just got a new Lenovo w Win11 after getting kinda-sorta used to Windows 10 over the past couple years. After discovering the DISGUSTING placement of volume bar, googlin led me here. As they're already stated in thread, don't need to repeat the many/legit reasons why this change was an absolutely horrible idea on MS part, most crucially to not even enable setting to force previous default. Was very nervous when the first several / official comment indicated the best solution was to "leave feedback" in hopes the devs would implement a fix (lmao, god bless their lil bureaucratic hearts).
After reading Emeskey's post, gave Modern Flyouts a try, and it's exactly (half) the fix: just as customizable as you need it to be, nice and dark and high-contrast visible, and can be placed on the screen in almost any place someone might want.
EXCEPT: the native disgusting Win 11 flyouts (volume, brightness) still appear in their usual spot, so only half the issue has been solved since they will still obscure that high-value real estate, extremely frustrating when consuming fullscreen media (which is like, a decent chunk of the time you'd be adjusting the volume...)
Gonna give HideVolumeOSD a try to complete the solution and will report back!
Edit: HideVolumeOSD works as advertised to hide the annoying Win11 default volume (+ brightness!) display! Hooray!
One small caveat (minor) : there are some additional options to configure showing the volume in the systray, which is kinda cool IMO. This doesn't appear to work if you have the taskbar auto-hide, as I do. Very small issue though as main purpose of HideVolume is to do just that ;-)CONCLUSION: Modern Flyouts (from MS store) + HideVolumeOSD (from link in Emeskey's post above) solved all Win11 volume/brightness bar display issues for me. I also saw some mentions of (+ problems with...) another app ExplorerPatcher; I have neither heard of nor used that and did not need it for my use case.
