Windows 11 reboots itself - Annoying!

Hi All,

I have windows 11 installed on "HP ZBook Studio 15.6 inch G8 Mobile Workstation PC".

Windows ver: 21H2 (OS Build 22000.1098)

It reboots itself during the night every day more than once though I only lock the computer. Before I used to hibernate/lock the computer to start where I left off my open programs. There are days when I reboot every 2 or 3 weeks because I never needed to reboot but now it does it every night.

It started doing this after the recent update.

Note: The power settings were working fine as it is still the same. But it reboots for no reason.

    Unfortunately, you won't find gpedit.msc in the home version, so that doesn't work. It is raelly an annoying issue, Windows 11 leads to way less productivity, as it is completely unreliable. Every time it has to do something for a longer time, I have to worry it won't finish because it might just then decide that it's not "active hours" and it can reboot and install an update. That's really annoying. I don't mind updates and security, but I DO mind not being consulted on if and how and when I would like these things.

    Hi Sir Kal,

    Windows Update was set to notify me when updates are there. Setting the active hours unfortunately doesn't help much, as I cannot set it to "24 hours". I don't want to disable an automatic reboot for updates just for a specific time, I want to disable automatic reboots for updates period. I don't mind updates, but I want to decide when Windows installs and updates and reboots, that is all. It is my computer, I do not want Windows to decide by itself it can reboot, no matter what time consuming tasks that are running overnight get interrupted and thrown out.

    You are a joke just like windows is.

    back when i had windows 7 i could put my pc to sleep but now i can't, i click on "sleep", it boots off and restarts again, it repeats the cycle for however long i stay away of my pc.

    god i want to go back.

    SETTINGS POWER MANAGEMENT
    REMOVE HIBERNIGHT.
    select turn off when i close the lid .
    Then change when the screen is turned off
    AND the device is turned off. Time to set it.
    And at the bottom of the screen is confirm setting.
