bottom right icons not working

All those icons in the bottom right of the taskbar do not work, no response despite left clicks on those icons. These include the volume, network, clock and notifications icons. The Action Center cannot be called out as well. However, those hidden icons under the "Up Arrow" work properly.

My desktop is running on Windows 10 Home version 21H2, the latest Windows update was just run yesterday.

The followings have been tried with no improvement:

a) System File Checker - sfc /scannow

b) DISM tool - CheckHealth, ScanHealth & Restorehealth

c) Powershell command

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

d) Renaming of UsrClass.dat file

e) Restart Windows Explorer

Anything else I can do to solve the problems?

    Thanks for clarifying my confusion regarding Media Creation Tool and upgrading to 22H2.

    Also thanks for the detailed instructions regarding uninstalling 3rd party antivirus software.

    Regarding the antivirus program, how do you compare MalwareBytes Free and Bitdefender Free?

    I would not use either. I would turn on Defender once you fully remove AVG, do the Malwarebytes scan and then turn off it's trial version on the front control panel as I wrote, use it only as an on-demand scanner which is the best in the industry.

    Defender gives adequate real time protection, but when it finds something or you suspect you're infected, you'll want to roll out the bigger artillery to know you're getting the very best and most thorough scans. For this we should use Malwarebyte on-demand protection for malware, and AdwCleaner for the lower level threats and PUPs.

    Hi Sumit,

    I've just deleted the Quick Actions key in Windows registry in the way you suggested and have my desktop restarted. However, the bottom right icons problem still persists. It seems corrupted registry key is not the core of the problem I encountered.

    Thanks for your views.

    Will follow your guidelines to try Repair Install later, probably tomorrow, when I have time to backup my data files and clean up the 3rd party antivirus software.
