Is live.co.uk using POP on a mail host out of order or discontinued.

I had previously been advised that one could not have multiple accounts in Windows 10 Mail (nor could the account be POP3) but I now see I can have up to 6 email accounts - & all POP3 provided one is careful how one sets it up - so that is feasible. This would probably solve my problems on Windows 10 laptop in a much more simple way than trying to install WLM 2012.

I now need to investigate whether one can have local folders (as in WLM) to save thousands of emails by account name & topic long term locally - which at the moment from my initial investigation doesn't look possible so would prevent me using W10M; and how to import existing emails copied from my POP3 accounts on Windows 7 laptop.

I don't use any form of Calendar in any Mail programme or App. I have no use for it.

I believe if someone has already set up Windows 10 Mail account as IMAP (I haven't set up any myself) they can't change it to POP3 but could add it again as POP3 and delete the IMAP version.

I understand what you say about looking at Winver. I just looked and its Version 2OH2 (OS Build 19042.1288)

How often is this (an update to 2OH2) likely to happen ? Would I be likely to have to attempt a Registry alteration often ?

As I said, I can't cope with anything difficult or any unexpected computer issues. They frighten me and make me ill. I am a non-techie Senior Citizen !

If I'm going to have to keep doing things which worry me & make me ill then I am better off doing without WLM 2012 on my Windows 10 Pro laptop (or any later laptop I buy) and hoping my Windows 7 Pro laptop keeps operating for years to come !

I assume if I get WLM 2012 installed on my Windows 10 laptop it will stay there. I won't have to re-install it at any time will I ?

Thank you for your help. No hurry for reply. I'm not doing anything until I'm absolutely certain I know what I would have to do, how to do it & how often and whether I am likely to then provoke issues which I can't cope with.

That looks a bit beyond my abilities !

That video poster only had one account. If one has lots does one have to repeat those 3 Registry changes for each email account or is it simply tied to the one instance of WLM.

I have absolutely no idea what a 20H2 Or feature update is. Can I prevent whatever that/those is/are updating ?
