I started having an issue (very recently) with being able to answer a reply to my comments on MSN News. I can comment on a news article and someone will reply to that comment. When I open MSN News again and get a "reply balloon" on the bottom of the page and proceed to click on the text in the balloon (to bring up that page with the comments so I can respond), it now takes me to a "Microsoft Start" version of that page (with the colored blocks showing on the page tab instead of the MSN butterfly) which looks like the story as it appeared from its original source (like Reuters or Insider, etc.) that doesn't have the comments available or showing anywhere; it's completely different from the original MSN page.
I typically use Firefox but I’ve opened MSN in Edge and it’s doing the same thing, so the only way to comment on a reply is to bookmark the original MSN page when I comment, then get back to the page that way and hunt for the reply to my comment on a refreshed version of the page. As of now, I haven’t found a way to get it back to the way it used to act, so maybe this is new behavior with MSN News, but if so, it’s definitely not preferable to the way it used to be. This isn't some critical issue, but it's very annoying when trying to follow-up with replying to a comment response. (Windows 10 Pro, HP laptop)

sad to say, but my testing over about a dozen articles has shown that replies to my comments are not 'popping' up as they should, leaving you to pore over hundreds and even thousands of comments to find it, which is of course ludicrous. At the VERY LEAST msoft should let you SEARCH the comments for your account name.
that's encouraging to hear. Maybe someone from MSFT actually looked at the posts here, as I can't imagine that the problem would have fixed itself. : ) We'll see if it continues to work, then.
thanks for that I will try it out again. And 'unstable' is redundant and understood when discussing anything microsoft touches.
I don't know if this conversation had anything to do with it, but the system is mostly working again. Now, it not only goes to the article but to the comment to which I want to respond.
Sometimes it seems a little unstable, but re-clicking works to get it back.
well, it used to work with clicking on the notification balloons in MSN News before they started implementing these Microsoft Start pages...now you just end up on one of those instead of back on your original MSN News page. I don't think they're interested in fixing the problem...surely someone knows about it by now, whether from this Community post or otherwise.
