After going to the article, mine automatically opened comments and went to the one that generated the notification. It took a minute to happen; comments opened blank initially; and twice it disappeared and had to be refreshed.

I started having an issue (very recently) with being able to answer a reply to my comments on MSN News. I can comment on a news article and someone will reply to that comment. When I open MSN News again and get a "reply balloon" on the bottom of the page and proceed to click on the text in the balloon (to bring up that page with the comments so I can respond), it now takes me to a "Microsoft Start" version of that page (with the colored blocks showing on the page tab instead of the MSN butterfly) which looks like the story as it appeared from its original source (like Reuters or Insider, etc.) that doesn't have the comments available or showing anywhere; it's completely different from the original MSN page.
I typically use Firefox but I’ve opened MSN in Edge and it’s doing the same thing, so the only way to comment on a reply is to bookmark the original MSN page when I comment, then get back to the page that way and hunt for the reply to my comment on a refreshed version of the page. As of now, I haven’t found a way to get it back to the way it used to act, so maybe this is new behavior with MSN News, but if so, it’s definitely not preferable to the way it used to be. This isn't some critical issue, but it's very annoying when trying to follow-up with replying to a comment response. (Windows 10 Pro, HP laptop)

2021-11-19T16:58:29+00:00 a new wrinkle, now the pop ups are back, but clicking them just takes you to the original page, but not only does it not then open the comments to that reply, it does not even offer the comments balloon to see ANY comments. So in a nutshell, STILL not working. Come on msoft, how hard can this be to fix, especially something that DID work before; it is not as if you are developing new code.

2021-11-19T16:55:33+00:00 yeah, I totally agree. I was thinking that way back before this issue with getting re-directed to Microsoft Start even started. There should be a "user search" right at the top of the comments section for your own posts and/or the posts of another user.
