I started having an issue (very recently) with being able to answer a reply to my comments on MSN News. I can comment on a news article and someone will reply to that comment. When I open MSN News again and get a "reply balloon" on the bottom of the page and proceed to click on the text in the balloon (to bring up that page with the comments so I can respond), it now takes me to a "Microsoft Start" version of that page (with the colored blocks showing on the page tab instead of the MSN butterfly) which looks like the story as it appeared from its original source (like Reuters or Insider, etc.) that doesn't have the comments available or showing anywhere; it's completely different from the original MSN page.
I typically use Firefox but I’ve opened MSN in Edge and it’s doing the same thing, so the only way to comment on a reply is to bookmark the original MSN page when I comment, then get back to the page that way and hunt for the reply to my comment on a refreshed version of the page. As of now, I haven’t found a way to get it back to the way it used to act, so maybe this is new behavior with MSN News, but if so, it’s definitely not preferable to the way it used to be. This isn't some critical issue, but it's very annoying when trying to follow-up with replying to a comment response. (Windows 10 Pro, HP laptop)

I also hope they'll make an adjustment in their processes, or that at least someone on their team will reply here with their own post to explain what they've done.

2021-11-05T13:36:24+00:00 It started back in October for me. Regarding the replying multiple times that you mentioned, it's a matter of getting back to that original MSN News page. So, if you comment on a particular page and bookmark that page, you will be able to get back to it without clicking on a balloon and being re-directed to Microsoft Start. You will most likely have to hunt for your comment(s) and subsequent replies, but you will eventually find it. The thing is that if it's a popular or controversial article, it might have a lot of comments to wade through before you find your own. Also, who wants to bookmark every page they comment on to be able to find it again? Not me.

I cant understand though how before I send my first reply that other people may have replied multiple times over a period of time to the post. So not everyone is seemingly having the same problem.
I also agree on the personalised news feed. I want to see all news. If its just things I've commented on, I'll spend the rest of my life arguing with Express and Daily Mail readers about the Northern Ireland protocol and Brexit. I always like the randomness of the news stories popping up just like opening a newspaper. This new change is just putting people into an echo chamber like Facebook, where stupid views are echoed back at people so they think they are right,

2021-11-04T00:54:57+00:00 I agree with you, I don't use FB either and have no need for it. Generalized news is why I even bother with MSN News in the first place. I also look at Yahoo and occasionally I can find the same story there where I can comment and reply back easily if someone responds to me. As I commented previously, I think they'll be losing some (and maybe many) viewers if they go with this MStart business and have no comments available. Time will tell.
