Windows 11 battery draining in sleep mode

Hi everyone,

After the upgrade to Windows 11, I've found that my laptop won't go to sleep after closing the lid. The fan keeps making noise with the lid closed, and the battery is drained.

When opening the lid again, the computer won't respond to anything (blank screen, power button does nothing, keyboard doesn't respond), but it's active because the fan is working.

This was working fine before the upgrade and is a major problem, because the battery dies pretty quickly.

Laptop is a Lenovo IdeaPad 530 i7 8 GB ram.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Because your power usage and battery drain numbers do not make sense, it seems likely the sleep study report is not seeing whatever is draining the battery and not reporting the situation accurately. Perhaps try the report below and see if you get different info that might explain the situation.

    powercfg /systempowerreport

    My system does not go to sleep while streaming online video/music from YouTube. Since yours does, have you done anything to modify the Modern Standby behavior on your system?

    Have you tried another browser like Firefox?

    Because of the utility that runs with Edge, which you see highlighted below, and the one in your sleepstudy report, there may be a Bug in Edge that is allowing your situation to continue. It lets the system sleep but does not turn off the Audio service, which is probably keeping the DHCP running also.

    I don't want do it. Windows 11 is good for me. Any suggestion, i will try to fix it

    I see the BIOS is fully updated too.

    Inclined to believe it is some bug. Do you want to rollback to Windows 10?

    Hi. when my laptop goes to sleep, the music on spotify will be turned off. But on sleep mode still reduces battery life as shown above. Do you think I should reinstall win 11? I upgraded from win 10 to win 11
