Hi everyone,
After the upgrade to Windows 11, I've found that my laptop won't go to sleep after closing the lid. The fan keeps making noise with the lid closed, and the battery is drained.
When opening the lid again, the computer won't respond to anything (blank screen, power button does nothing, keyboard doesn't respond), but it's active because the fan is working.
This was working fine before the upgrade and is a major problem, because the battery dies pretty quickly.
Laptop is a Lenovo IdeaPad 530 i7 8 GB ram.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the effort. Screen off actually is awake, not asleep.
I did turn off network activity during Modern Standby by Group Policy and hopefully this makes things better. Lenovo aparently have a UEFI setting for sleep:Linux/Windows on new Thinkpads that changes b/w S0 and S3 but my Yoga doesn't have it.
This is the way mine looks when the screen is off. These were very short sessions so I will let it continue and catch some longer ones.
The other difference is My system in an older Intel processor, so that might cause a difference. Could you verify you have made no changes to your system related to solving the Modern Standby situation?
I am letting my system do a sleep/wake session now but it may take another couple of hours to get a complete list in that log.
I have been looking at the logs for about 5 years now. There have been changes during that time so the logs would look a little different. But I have not seen one that does not at least show a couple of offenders.
My system is not Win 11, so we will see if my log differs from yours.
That's my point! This is the section exactly for that red one but it shows no particular offenders. It is always like this - sleep session labelled red but then all "offenders" are green with no concerns.
In your attachment, the green areas are not a problem. The one orange/pink line you show seems to indicate 5% of the battery was used in 23 minutes. So you need to look in those pink areas to see the offenders.
