Windows 11 battery draining in sleep mode

OK, here is that test. The system behaved as should be expected. The audio stopped as soon as the lid was closed. I left it that way for 19 minutes.

I opened the lid and tapped the spacebar and the system woke up and starting playing again. There is no mention of any Audio Service or DHCP actions happening. You are on Win 11 and I am on 10. That plus the different processor may make a difference but I don't really think it would. Something strange is happening on that system.

OK, you want to be able to close the lid or use the power button to put the system to sleep while streaming. If that is the case, I will test that next.

I do worry about closing the lid because of thinking the screen may still be on.

We can't say that when I want to sleep or close the lid, you need to turn off all streams or youtube tabs. it's really annoying

Because your power usage and battery drain numbers do not make sense, it seems likely the sleep study report is not seeing whatever is draining the battery and not reporting the situation accurately. Perhaps try the report below and see if you get different info that might explain the situation.

My system does not go to sleep while streaming online video/music from YouTube. Since yours does, have you done anything to modify the Modern Standby behavior on your system?

Have you tried another browser like Firefox?

Because of the utility that runs with Edge, which you see highlighted below, and the one in your sleepstudy report, there may be a Bug in Edge that is allowing your situation to continue. It lets the system sleep but does not turn off the Audio service, which is probably keeping the DHCP running also.

I see. Does the issue persist in a clean boot state?
