Recently installed Windows 11. The wifi remains connected for sometime and then after some time drops. Nothing I do can reconnect again. Only a complete restart fixes the wifi and then after sometime the connection gets dropped again. What can I do to fix this?

Windows for home | Windows 11 | Windows update

Thank you again for this possible solution. Unfortunately this did not solve the issue. I have reset the network and still issue persists...I have also performed several actions using the Command feature of the laptop:

    Command prompt fix:

    • search for CMD on search bar at bottom of screen or when you click start icon
    • right click on command prompt then run as administrator
    • type or copy and paste this command one by one:

    netsh int ip reset
    netsh advfirewall reset
    netsh winsock reset
    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew

Oddly, I started to stream from my Amazon Fire stick through the tv set last night and the internet kept dropping out during the show. I wonder if this indicates that the problem could be in the router/modem and not my laptop?

I've sent a 'help request' to my ISP...again...asking if router could be faulty.

If I ever find a solution to this issue, I'll post it here.

"Update and Security" is not an option. Do you mean "privacy and security"? If so then the item "troubleshoot" is not in that menu either. This was simply unhelpful.

I updated all the network device drivers with latest plus switched from private to public network. Seems to improve the connectivity…
