Windows 11 keeps dropping wifi

The only thing I have found that fixes the problem is reverting back to windows 10. Unfortunately I had to pay to do it... not very happy about that but the wifi issue is now fixed on the laptop. Microsoft should send a refund. I have another computer to do it to but dont want to spend the money.

That's interesting. I have read this as a solution before. That said, my Windows 10 laptop is sitting idle because no matter how hard I tried, I could not update it to the latest version. Multiple failures. Months trying until my version was no longer supported. Microsoft was of no help. So as a solution I bought a new laptop last Nov that came with Windows 11 installed before it was released. Apparently W11 has a bug or two.

I just purchased and set up a new HP TP01 2255t desktop with windows 11. Right out of the box problems with wifi continually and randomly dropping off. Tried every solution I could find, sometimes 2 or 3 times. It's not my ISP or router. Latest drivers from HP website and latest updates from microsoft. The only thing that would work to reconnect was a restart. I have 4 other computers in the house. 2 win 10, 1 direct to ethernet and 1 on wifi. 2 win 7, 1 direct to ethernet and 1 to wifi. In addition my phone. All work perfectly and never lose the connection. Only the new computer. There is a problem regardless of what microsoft tells you. I did find a solution.

I spent $53 on a usb wifi adapter from linksys and disabled the network card that came with the new computer. Zero issues since the switch. Not the ideal fix and certainly one should not have to do this but I couldn't deal with the frustration anymore. Dear microsoft, Let me know when there is a fix. In the meantime you are welcome to send a check

That was the only thing that worked on my desktop!

I have the same exact issue with my new laptop. I was trying to stay away from Windows 11 since its release, but unfortunately I had to buy a new laptop around 10 days ago "HP envy x360 convertible 13" and it came with a pre-installed windows 11 Home edition the 21H2 version. I found that plenty of features are messing like the the rest of power plans other than the Balanced plan... I couldn't even createa new power plan based on apre settee performance or ultra performance plan, a couple of options also at the advanced menu of the power plan like the Network option, the USB power control as it was supplying power to USB even when I shut it down but I found a solution for that one via the BIOS setup. Unfortunately, the USB still supplying power when it's in sleep mode and I don't know why! My old laptop never did that with windows 10. It also was missing the Edit Group policy and it has the same issue we're discussing it here right now, but the fix was so much easy and so frustrating at the same way which was disconnecting my wifi adapter and turning it on again ..

Anyway, I told myself let's upgrade to the Pro version. I thought upgrading will make the windows download/completewhat I thought as missing files from the preinstalled version, but it didn't work .. just upgraded the version and that's it.

Luckily for me, because I took the whole thing as a challenge, my brother bought a new SSD to upgrade his PC, and I told him to download Windows 11, yup the same exact system I've been avoiding and complaining about just to experiment something on his PC. I got him a cd key for a Pro version and he prepared everything on a bootable USB and voila!! All the missing files were there on his PC, yes there were new errors like no right click on the taskbar or using right click and manage computer but fixed them and worked fine So I made my mind to install a clean windows, but all my hopes were gone because many reasons, the first of them was an issue of continuing the setup because the windows couldn't connect to the Internet as the new laptop only has a wifi adapter and it had no configuration so it wasn't there. I managed to bypass the windows request to connect to Internet and continued till it worked but I had the same exact missing features and options. And after almost 36 hours of installing my software and updating the system I decided to upgrade to version 22H2 because I read it's stable, but I found many many issues within it and again found the exact issue with the network adapter happening also after the upgrade. It's dropping all the available networks and show non at all as if there is no wifi network around me.. I even can't find the power management tab for the network adapter.. it has an issue with the notification.. I don't know what is wrong with the system that makes me so busy figuring out why it's faulty instead of focusing on my life and my work I need to do on the laptop .. is there a difference when I install the copy of the windows to a PC and when I install it to a laptop?! I really don't know.. but all what I'll do to get over this problem is a shortcut to my wifi adapter that I can disable and enable easily without the need to go into multiple windows till i find it.
