Recently installed Windows 11. The wifi remains connected for sometime and then after some time drops. Nothing I do can reconnect again. Only a complete restart fixes the wifi and then after sometime the connection gets dropped again. What can I do to fix this?

I tried everything Microsoft and HP suggested including re-installing Windows 11 but it still dropped the internet connection at random.

I fixed the problem by un-installing Windows 11 and installing Windows 10. Windows 10, this problem does not happen. Its been about 6 months and I have not had my internet dropped under Windows 10. I did not have to spend any money on another adapter or anything like that. The problem is with Windows 11 and it appears that Microsoft still does not know how to fix it or they would have provided a fix. If you go back to Windows 10 like I did you won't have any problem with it dropping your connection and having to re-start.

I hope this works for you also.

Me also, all the time. Every time you open a new window it drops out, and you have to disconnect from wifi and reconnect to continue

I have tried all of these things and the only thing that seems to work is multiple reboots and a hard shutdown! This is on my Lenovo and HP both, it seems like Windows 11 is junk when it comes to wireless connections! I hate that this Windows version is nothing but a headache in so many ways, I can hardly wait to see what the next version fixes and breaks, but is seem like Microsoft has absolutely no quality control at this point!
