Windows 11 keeps dropping wifi

Recently installed Windows 11. The wifi remains connected for sometime and then after some time drops. Nothing I do can reconnect again. Only a complete restart fixes the wifi and then after sometime the connection gets dropped again. What can I do to fix this?

    These steps do not fix the problem I suspect a power management problem in that the wifi adapter shuts down when the computer goes into sleep mode and then will not restart without shutting off the computer and restarting. The adapter comes back on when this is done. Did not have this problem before I upgraded with Windows 11.

    Hi all,

    I have a great solution, but first:

    1. Power saving on adapter issue is probably the cause for disruption in wifi
    2. I do not have a power options under my WIFI adapter (apart of Dynamic MIMO power save)
    3. I just do not understand why Microsoft not solving this issue
    4. 1400$ Laptop for meetings and its disconnecting after an hour or so... No thanks!
    5. Issue persists at least 2 years now, it's just give an idea what Microsoft think about end user...
    6. Fix is very simple, disable sleep in network adapters as hardcoded option

    Solution: Switched to Macbook and forgot the issues with Microsoft, I just tired to be Microsoft's QA, I do not need to pay 1400$ for Laptop and then conduct QA for Microsoft, I want 1400$ Laptop to work!

    My original post on this is that it happens to me on a desktop. I no longer have the problem since I bought a plug in USB network adapter and downloaded the latest version of 11. Now I still dont know what was the correction, hardware or software. But Im good for now

    I a glad you have dealt with this issue, but it sounds almost like you are saying that you just gave up on WiFi completely and got a hardwired internet connection....

    Although I am certain that this would be a solution, it is not truly correcting the problem with the WiFi connection being dodgy. This is just saying, 'I never could get the WiFi to work, so I switched to broadband internet', but that still leaves the WiFi connectivity issue as being a problem.

    That having been said, I did find that my issues were coming from my ISP having signal issues from the modem, and perhaps that I was a little quick to blame Windows 11 and Microsoft for what was not their mistake. In any case, I am happy for you that you have stable internet now!!

    Everybody seems to be limiting this issue to laptops. Well, it happens big time on my desktop too. This is more than frustrating. It undermines productivity and my security system, both of which are important.
