Xbox Gamebar capture not working on Windows 11

Here is the Windows 11 Xbox GameBar Fix That I have finally found the solution for! (I don't guarentee this will 100% work for everyone but it hopefully will work for the most part) }

So there are 2 different methods you can attempt (I recommend doing both of these to be sure that you get the necessary files and activate GameDVR Properly. Keep in mind I am no expert at this, I am just a random guy on the internet who found a solution for this).

Alright Lets Get into The Methods

Method 1 : Download and Install the Standalone Windows Update (It is Windows 10 but it works for 11 too)

1. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231
2. Scroll down and find the Orange download button and click it
3. Select the Microsoft-Windows-MediaFeaturePack-OOB-Package_x64.msu and click on Next
4. After it does download, go to your downloads folder and run it.
5. After it is completed, Restart your PC.

Method 2 : Regedit Entry Changes

1. Go to the Windows Search Bar and type in Regedit OR click on Windows Key + R and Type Regedit and click on Ok
2. We are going to check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\ (copy and paste) Choose "GameDVR" from the right panel and change "AllowGameDVR" to 1. If there isn't one: Right click the empty area, choose "New" and then "Key" Name it to GameDVR. It makes a new key / "folder". Inside the GameDVR key, right click on the empty area again, click "New" and choose "DWORD". Name it to "AllowGameDVR". Double click it and set it to 1.
3. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore (copy and paste) Double click "GameDVR_Enabled" and change it to 1.
4. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR Double click on AppCaptureEnabled and set it to 1.
5. Restart your computer.

Yo Miste So I FINALLY Found a solution to the issue and I posted it (Check the Latest post right before this one and you will find it) This solution was never mentioned in any Youtube video or anything here (I found it from a comment in a Windows 10 YouTube video and it worked like a charm) Tysm for the help and replying so fast :)

doesnt work, still cant record my screen

Hi, I just upgraded to Windows 11. My gamebar capture stopped working, like the buttons aren't working. I have tried repair and reset on Setting with Gamebar but still not working. Does anyone know how to fix this? The buttons aren't clickable and I cant use the record shortcut.

Use Registry Editor You can modify the GameDVR value in Registry Editor to make sure the Xbox Game Bar component remains enabled to fix your issue. Follow the guide below:

Step 1: Launch Windows Registry Editor by typing regedit to the search box and clicking the result.

Step 2: Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR.

Step 3: If you cannot find the AppCaptureEnabled key, right-click on the space and choose New > DROWD (32-bit) Value. Name it as AppCaptureEnabled. Then, double-click on it to set the value data to 1.

yeah bro ur **** does not work i tried every. single. bloody thing here and nothing worked xbox game bar capture still sucks **** and does not want to make videos if you can kindly respond and tell me how the **** to fix this it would be greatly appreciated
