Xbox Gamebar capture not working on Windows 11

Hi, I just upgraded to Windows 11. My gamebar capture stopped working, like the buttons aren't working. I have tried repair and reset on Setting with Gamebar but still not working. Does anyone know how to fix this? The buttons aren't clickable and I cant use the record shortcut.

    Method 1 : Download and Install the Standalone Windows Update (It is Windows 10 but it works for 11 too)

    1. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231
    2. Scroll down and find the Orange download button and click it
    3. Select the Microsoft-Windows-MediaFeaturePack-OOB-Package_x64.msu and click on Next
    4. After it does download, go to your downloads folder and run it.
    5. After it is completed, Restart your PC.

    This is what fixed it for me.

    And I just have to say it is pure embarrassing that Microsoft don't put out a fix for this.

    "Oh the recording functionality of the game bar doesn't work. Oh well."

    It's like the entire of this website doesn't have a single MS employee actually monitoring and escalating obvious issues.

    This step worked for me after confirming the settings in the registry

    If you are not using Windows 11 Home but Pro or an advanced edition, there is another solution for you. If you cannot open Xbox Game Bar, perhaps this app is forced to keep disabled by the Windows Game Recording and Broadcasting policy.

    Step 1: Press Win + R, type in gpedit.msc and click OK.

    Step 2: Go to Local Computer Policy > Administrative Templates > Windows Components> Windows Game Recording and Broadcasting.

    Step 3: Double-click on Enables or disables Windows Game Recording and Broadcasting and choose Enabled. Then, save the change.

    I too was laboriously trying to fix the greyed-out screen-capturing buttons. At first, I tried repairing Xbox game bar, and then resetting it, but nothing. Then, editing the registry - also nothing. Updating Xbox game bar - nothing. Alas, I went to the Microsoft store, and noticed that under Xbox game bar, it not only said 'Open' but also 'Get'. Miraculously, that is what fixed the issue.

    Just thought I would share my experience is all. I had been trying to fix it for hours lol.
