Xbox Gamebar capture not working on Windows 11

Sure thing! So having just now checked my Win-11's update history I can tell there was two updates done on the same time. The one that u already mentioned, (KB5013943) , and (KB5013628), both successfully installed on 17/5. Those are my most recent updates and the gamebar has not crashed or 'gone dark' again. However, The next updates are already incoming, literally on my next restart of the machine (KB5013889 and KB5014019) so FINGERS CROSSED.........
I'm sry if neither of those updates can/could help you w this problem. Idk what else "solved" the bug for me, if not those.. I gave up years ago of trying to understand MS products and just try to always use them as long as possible without any new patches/updates cause u never know in advance what shenannigans will happen to those aspects most precious to you, hopefully nothing but if something then usually nothing good, lol

Same issue here. Reset and Repair did not worked. Editing the registry did not work either.

Same here until Today! The Game Bar showed blank buttons for the previous 9 days. Before that it worked months as intended. Not Reset nor Repair helped and the suggested registry edit was already in place and set to value "1". But today a Win-11 update did the trick. I don't know if the bios-update in it was the cure but they sure make me nervous every time they occur.. Anyways - every Xbox Game Bar issue resolved w the update so I guess thats that. See you guys in the next bug!!! ;)

Hey MisteReal! Do You Mind Telling me which update fixed the issue for you? The message you sent was on May 17th and the only update in that timeframe was the KB5013943 update which I also downloaded and installed today but it unfortunately didn't work.

Worked for me. The key existed and was set to 0. Set it to 1, closed and reopened the bar, and it was fine.
