Xbox Gamebar capture not working on Windows 11

hi! i tried every solutions that u guys showed, but it still not working. Most importantly my "recording preferences" setting is gone

any other ideas as i tried that and its still not working

Hi, I just upgraded to Windows 11. My gamebar capture stopped working, like the buttons aren't working. I have tried repair and reset on Setting with Gamebar but still not working. Does anyone know how to fix this? The buttons aren't clickable and I cant use the record shortcut.

Use Registry Editor You can modify the GameDVR value in Registry Editor to make sure the Xbox Game Bar component remains enabled to fix your issue. Follow the guide below:

Step 1: Launch Windows Registry Editor by typing regedit to the search box and clicking the result.

Step 2: Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR.

Step 3: If you cannot find the AppCaptureEnabled key, right-click on the space and choose New > DROWD (32-bit) Value. Name it as AppCaptureEnabled. Then, double-click on it to set the value data to 1.

I tried this a month ago and it worked. It had been working since then but now I'm back where I started, same grayed out buttons. I checked the registry, and the value data is still 1. Any ideas?

Worked for me. The key existed and was set to 0. Set it to 1, closed and reopened the bar, and it was fine.
