I recently updated to Windows 11. I have a LG 34 inch ultrawide monitor (21:9 aspect ratio, 2560x1080 resolution). Windows 11 selects the generic Pnp monitor driver, which has a max 1920x1080 resolution, so the screen is fuzzy and stretched out - really unusable. LG does not have an updated driver, Windows 11 has all updates installed has no updates available related to this driver and it will only select this as the recommended resolution.
Is there no support for 2560x1080 HDMI monitors in windows 11?

on my laptop i have the lg 29um58 connected to a displaylink that plugs into a usb3 port and i get 2560 by 1080 on that never tryed it to intel integrated graphics i have another monitor on that and it also is windows 11 it might be the intel driver what cpu do you have and is it a laptop

I have a hp laptop i5 6200u. I plug my lg monitor 29um58 in to hdmi port and I
get 2560 by 1080. in device manager under display adapter intel hd graphics 520 on driver version 30.0.101.1192 date 1/11/22. in device manager under monitor LG ultrawide(HDMI) driver version 1.0.0.0 date 8/26/15 the laptop is on windows 11 and all looks great .i never went to lg for driver it was just there

I have a related problem with LG 32UK50T HD monitors (3840 x 2160) connected HDMI-HDMI (with certified 8K/"Ultra High Speed" cable). These monitors automatically go into "power saving shutdown" after a short time of no signal, e.g. "turn off my screen after 15 minutes" (new HP Pavilion laptop, Iris Xe Graphics, delivered with Windows 10 Home and just upgraded to Windows 11, resulting in installation of the Generic PnP Monitor driver). Once the signal from the laptop is shut off by Win11, the attached monitor doesn't respond properly when the signal is restored by waking up the laptop. It appears some sort of "wakeup" signal is sent, the monitor sort of wakes up, then decides there is no signal and goes back to sleep.
My workaround is to either disconnect/reconnect the HDMI cable or switch the monitor input from HDMI1 to HDMI2 and back again, after which the monitor is alive and well (until the next screen turn off).
I'm contemplating (re)installing the LG "Ultra HD Driver.zip" for Windows 10 I've downloaded from the LG support site, but haven't yet.
Too many changes at once ;-) I've installed the "LG ULTRA HD(HDMI)" driver (dated 8/21/2015, version 1.0.0.0), with no apparent change in "wakeup" characteristics.
However, I tried changing the monitor's "Automatic Standby" setting from OFF to 4H and even though the monitor enters its "power saving mode" after 30 seconds or so of removing signal, it seems to wake up properly when Windows wakes up.
I'll continue testing, including making the LG monitor the only active display (i.e. System > Display: Show only on 2), but it all seems to be working now.
