No, I asked the question on the LG help site. LG's response was to keep checking back to see if they had updated drivers for ultrawide monitors compatible with Microsoft 11. this was 4 months ago. Still no updates.

I recently updated to Windows 11. I have a LG 34 inch ultrawide monitor (21:9 aspect ratio, 2560x1080 resolution). Windows 11 selects the generic Pnp monitor driver, which has a max 1920x1080 resolution, so the screen is fuzzy and stretched out - really unusable. LG does not have an updated driver, Windows 11 has all updates installed has no updates available related to this driver and it will only select this as the recommended resolution.
Is there no support for 2560x1080 HDMI monitors in windows 11?

2023-08-16T14:06:28+00:00 What cable did you buy? I think i'm having the same issue with my LG 29wn600-w WFHD working on my Lenovo yoga 7i. I reached out to LG for a second time and they said "I understand that having the latest drivers can enhance your experience, and I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. While we do not have immediate plans for Windows 11 driver updates, our team is continuously working to improve and expand our product offerings." I take it that they are NOT gonna release an updated driver. Thus im back to researching and got to this forum.

2023-08-17T00:01:00+00:00 LG are totally useless with their support of the Ultrawide screens. When I called their ridiculous "help robot" it repeatedly offered me instructions on a washing machine.......
Anyway, I'm just using a USB A to USB C cable. The cable that came with the monitor has a USB A at the end that plugs into the PC, but of course the MS Surface 8 does not have any USB A slots. So the cable from the monitor plugs into the USB A end of that cable and the USB C end goes straight into the Surface itself. The Surface has 2 x USB C ports and wither will work.
Before this I tried plugging the monitor into the Windows Surface docking station. The monitor connected and images appeared, but with awful resolution and in hideously stretched format. Everything I tried for 3 days did not fix the issue (I downloaded drivers from LG, Microsoft and others) - nothing worked. Then on a whim I plugged the monitor straight into the surface using that adapter cables and...BANG! It automatically corrected itself. I now run the single widescreen like 2 x individual monitors and it works just fine.
I actually had 2 x widescreen monitors but one started to play up and I could not replace just one.

2023-09-07T19:19:08+00:00 Yep, same here: When I plug the HDMI "directly" - skipping the KVM switch and just using the HDMI to USB-C I get the full resolution back. Awesome - many thanks! The KMV switch - or cable - is the issue, I guess.

2023-09-26T12:20:30+00:00 this worked for me also. instead of using native windows display settings to make the changes, make them with the Nvidia app, if you have one.
also, it did take several days and several updates. but the above worked for me.
