What happened to the "Copy To" option in Windows 11 File Explorer?

Microsoft removed these because they were too useful and the idea that people might want to copy or move files using a filemanager is outside of the tiny mental box called Microsoft. It is policy to remove or hide commonly used tools and menu options with each update in order to frustrate users and waste their time. But dont worry...Micorsoft added a bunch of new menu options that you dont want or need.

But - best solution: highlight filenames in file manager and click control + C to copy and then place the cursor in the directory you want to copy to and type Control + V to paste.

A Tip: supplement Explorer Search with VoidTools' 'Everything'. I've been using it for a few years now to check if I already have an mp3 in my Music Library. It's as fastasthis ... and I wonder why MS never bought it. Never had a problem with it - and the Search functions are myriad.

Do yourself a favor and get XYplorer. It's the best file manager out there.

I'm looking at it. How long have you used XYxplorer? I see it's been around since 1999.

Thanks @Rocassa45. Still can't get past the notion such a major, user-friendly change would be wiped away. I did take the upgrade dive based on a few articles noting upcoming features that will change the Windows OS game. Decided to start navigating the diffs and be ready for "Windows OS Nirvana".

But the productivity hit is measurable for me.

RE: File Explorer - BTW, love the analogy "creeping green caterpillar" - I'm not seeing much improvement there either.
