12/06/2021 A new out of band update KB5004476 released for version 2004, 20H2 and 21H1. Build number incremented to 19041.1022, 19042.1022, and 19043.1022. Changelog:

This non-security update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:

  • Addresses an issue that might redirect you to the Microsoft Store page for Gaming Services when you try to install or start an Xbox Game Pass game on your Windows 10 device. Additionally, you receive error 0x80073D26 or 0x8007139F. For more information, see KB5004327.

This update is available as an optional update in Windows update.

    Regarding my BSOD when i try to run this latest update, I was advised to run System checker (sfc /SCANNOW) which I did. I was told it would find outdated drivers and update them, It didn't do that but it it reported that it found corrupted files and repaired them. Running it again came up clean.

    Is this likely to have solved the problem?

    As my machine is currently working nicely since I rebuilt it from my image I don't want to risk things unless there's a good chance the problem is resolved.

    Updated to the current version, and my pc was stuck at a black screen after sign in. So i had to reset my Computer and i lost my minecraft survival world which was 3 years old. Usually i would make a copy of my worlds in the desktop after playing but I forgo to do it this time. Fortunately i only lost one days progress as i had the backup of the day before. This is the third time this black screen error after update happened to me. Can anybody tell me why this occurs and Microsoft Please fix it.

    The 21H1 updates have hosed the taskbar icons.  Tried several fixes from other threads, removing KB updates, etc. to no avail.

    HP Probook, Windows 10 Pro

    Four options to resolve in my environment:

    1.  Microsoft releases a patch ASAP for their recent broken updates.
    2.  Adjust scaling back to 100% (even though Windows recommends 125% in settings).
    3.  Move the taskbars to the left or right side of the screen.
    4.  Get a Mac.

    One thing you can always count on - Microsoft will continue to let you down by releasing plagued updates.

    Thanks, at least i know it 's not my Laptop. I think i will buy a second though and wipe off the windows ****, and install Linux. A swiss computer Geek told me about it a few years ago, they keep one laptop with windows just for banking and the rest have Linux and NO PROBLEMS.
