12/06/2021 A new out of band update KB5004476 released for version 2004, 20H2 and 21H1. Build number incremented to 19041.1022, 19042.1022, and 19043.1022. Changelog:

This non-security update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:

  • Addresses an issue that might redirect you to the Microsoft Store page for Gaming Services when you try to install or start an Xbox Game Pass game on your Windows 10 device. Additionally, you receive error 0x80073D26 or 0x8007139F. For more information, see KB5004327.

This update is available as an optional update in Windows update.

    When I upgraded my pc to 21H1 my updated showed windows is now cleaning up the pc- for some reason after that I lost my sound drivers suggest something because I have done everything that the support asked me to nothing worked.

    I don't think it's the soundcard drivers. I have the same problem and device manager seems to think everything is fine, but right clicking the speaker icon says no devices installed, which is rubbish. I use a plug and play USB soundcard and HDMI sound which I listen to in another room. Neither are there according to windows. HDMI video works fine although my webcam is also dead. No sound inputs either.

    I couldn't see any way to correct this and had to resort to rebuilding my machine from an image I had, updates now turned off for a month.

    Still waiting for Microsoft to sort this out.

    A bit tough if you need your machine for sound work though. We should not be waiting for anything. I need to be using zoom etc to keep in touch with everyone, not having sound isn't an option.
