Windows update error encountered (0x80070424)

Hello,

I'm not able to update windows software, i have tried manual updating using Windows 10 update assistant but once I wanna install it tells me that i'm downgrading and that Windows has to delete all my files if i go ahead which is odd.

I have also tried w10-wuauserv.reg method as i saw it on the forum but didn't work as well.

I might have messed with the cmd prompt at some point but not sure if that is the reason behind the error and I don't know how to go back to point null to see if that's the case.

Please help..

    That isn't normal. I suppose the computer remains infected. At this point, I have to suggest you to scan your computer using a third-party rescue disk or offline scanner, but you have to create it using another computer. Do you have access to another computer?

    So i merged the 2 files ran them and then restarted the pc after.

    Background intelligent transfer service is running now but startup type is (automatic: delayed start) and i noticed an unusual delayed start for windows but idk if its related so please let me know.

    As for windows update i only have what i had before which is windows update medic service but status is now "running"

    Maybe. If the file was infected, the tool will try to clean it but if the file is a malware the tool will remove it.

    Hi Jose,

    Scanner has been on for about 6 hours now and i assume 3 additional hours are needed, so far 67 infected files, will the software fix everything by itself when scanning is finished?

    First, download the Microsoft Safety Scanner Tool and run a full scan. Next, download the following reg files to register again both services:

    After download both file, right click over both files and select Merge. Click yes to confirm the merge process. Next restart your computer and verify again using Services console.
