Windows update fails to install 2021-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5004237)

Good day,

I have attempted numerous times to install windows update 2021-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5004237) on my system. It fails regardless of the various command to shut down and restart services. The error code is: 0x80073712

When I went to the Windows Catalog, this version would not load. It said that it was not for my system. What is attempting to load is a different version of KB5004237, but that too failed.

Is there a way to fix or bypass this update?

Thank you

Its 100% not corruption of the OS unless every single install of the OS on different computers are corrupt.

    It's very frustrating.

I'm trying from beginning of July 2021 to install ANY KB in my PC (Windows 10 Pro).

The error is always the same: some files are missing.

I'm not going to reinstall the OS because it's a nonsense. In MS there is none able to find the bug of these upgrades?

    Very disappointed.

I have the same issue on the same file

    Brand new computer

How has no one got a clue how to fix this after so long?

KB5005033 with the error code 0x80073712

This is a brand new install of windows!

EDIT: I reinstalled again and it fixed it.

Installed windows so many times over the decades, this is the only time I have had an issue with a fresh install.

Repairs didn't work and there were so many issues when I did repair commands. Just reinstall if you get this. A pain but works.
