Windows update fails to install 2021-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5004237)

Good day,

I have attempted numerous times to install windows update 2021-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5004237) on my system. It fails regardless of the various command to shut down and restart services. The error code is: 0x80073712

When I went to the Windows Catalog, this version would not load. It said that it was not for my system. What is attempting to load is a different version of KB5004237, but that too failed.

Is there a way to fix or bypass this update?

    I haven't had Windows fail to start ever but truly the computer is often nearly unusable for the first 30-60 minutes each day. I also had Windows 10 "blue screen" on me one time when the system was in one of its fits of grinding away like it does on startup each day. It was the first time I had ever seen such a fault from Windows 10. It wasn't the typical Windows NT-style blue screen but it was clearly a major fault in the system that resulted in Windows reloading. That has only happened once.

    I'd like to make a Microsoft developer or executive suffer through using my laptop for a week.

    Any update on this. I have a PC that was upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 and another that as literally finished a fresh install of windows and KB4023057 always fails to download on both PCs.

    It Begins Downloading gets to 2% and gives the following error. This is happening on a version installed version of windows, so it can't really be anything to do with corruption etc, its simply a broken update.

    "There were problems downloading some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help. This error code might help: (0x80d05011)"

    The current running windows version is 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1165)

    No change here. Still stuck with update error although one subsequent feature update installed well. It was a useless update for news and weather that I turned off after it installed. Not a good situation.

    The only solution I ended up finding was a reinstallation of windows from a USB. Nothing else worked or probably will work, this failure to update is caused by a corruption of the OS.

    I can't worry about this housekeeping when I'm doing important work with the system. Waste of my time and puts my project at risk.
