Windows 11 Related Discussion [NOT OFFICIAL]

Do you know how vast majority use internet today? FB, Instagram, Tweeter, Youtube and alternatives. That is their whole internet. And even if they use search engines, they do not search on how to turn on TPM, SecureBoot, BitLocker, or whatever, they just search for other stuff. That is not their point of interest.

I work with people and I know how vast majority behave and what is their knowledge about stuff. One word - lame. Meybe they are great or good in fixing cars, but other things.....lame.

As I mentioned, I work as seller. Yes, there is info on almost everything on internet (much as disinformations), but people always come to the store, I have to explain them to detail about much everything. From vacuum cleaner, to TVs. And that same info that I learned about (yes I have over 30 years of experience in hardware) I got from internet (before that I had to ask) and a very little from company presentations (just marketing).

So, why 99% of people come to store and I have to explain them to detail what is what? Because they don't know how to find info. Even detailed info for that matter. And even if they find, they are scared to change something in order not to break things. But surely they can click on clickbait.

Now, we return to Windows with two things:

1. It doesn't matter if you have whole army of protection in front of your PC, user clicks something, allows it and voila.....you got nuked. This always happens on social platforms (save this kid by clicking to get a prayer.....). Luckly there is an antvirus software, but only for known viruses/malwares and their probable variants. But, something new comes up always.

The only and only one in security is the user.

2. Microsoft presentation was watched by a lot of people. Everyone was hyped (not me in total, like I watched a long PR ad). And do you know how many people know about requirements after that? Maybe 1-3%. Rest of them are just waiting for W10 to be upgraded to W11. Because in that "ad", they didn't mentioned about requirements. Boy they will be pissed when they find out that they cannot upgrade. Maybe same or worse than W10 forced upgrade overnight. As we are now, who searched on info, when we found out about req.

And then we have one more thing. Obsolete hardware in 2025-2026 - a lot of eWaste. Like there is not much now, but we will sure make it more, and then send it to Africa, with other pile of junk that we make.

Do you ever wonder why there is no perfect hardware, from lightbulb to current best PC in the world? Money. That is why each year, yes....each year (maybe less), we have new models of phones, tablets, TV's, PC parts, Refridgerators, vacuum cleaners and so on and on, which uses marketing and hype to sell you. A neverending pattern that exists from long time ago.

When AMD was in trouble, From my 2nd gen CPU, up to 5th or 6th gen CPU, do you know how much increase was in power? About 20-30 percent. 3-4 years giving you something little on a teaspoon. Between 2nd and 10th gen there is incerase about in 70%, but on multicore. So that is on avg 9-10% in power increase.

So, nothing much changes in a year, not even in 5 years. When they can make at least 50% leap in two years, we can say "work well done". Everything else is just bull and PR marketing where new shampoo will take dandruff away. What was wrong with my previous version of shampoo? Or much anykind of shampoo?

Stop believing in PR, marketing and other hype and maybe world and companies will return to normal.

And average Joe, which populates about 95% of this planet, knows how to turn on TPM, Secure boot, encrypt drive?

Stop thinking that everyone knows how to use computers on a deep level. Duning-Kruger effect by MS?

Improving security by 60% does nothing. Not even 100%. Because 100% is for the time being. It will take time for hackers to implement new viruses, which will bypass these things. It is inevitable. Next will be W12, where you cannot use CPUs below 11th gen because there are vulnerabilities? They will still exist no matter what is done.

People still click anywhere, when they are online (clickbait). Even downloading files from their mail and "activating" them.

This is how you get your system damaged. Human error. And even Windows have human errors behind. Next update can have vulnerabilities. Next update will cancel them. Next update.......again with them.

Windows 10 isn't fixed properly for many reasons (one is error while updating - can't finish updating/configuring, restoring....) and MS wants to push W11? Yeah really?

And yes, this is marketing. When you force users to buy something that is not needed for most users or do not know how to use it.

And GUI changes? DX12? We're not running videogames on GUI.

It can support even from 1st gen of Intel CPUs, and many other CPUs from other brand.

But........there is that "but".

What they do is called marketing. For MS, they are trying to sell you, collab with other companies, TPM chips and new gen CPUs/mobos, from last 3-4 years. And not just that, but GPUs that only have DX12 support.

They actually told that by using "requirements". This is not about security or whatever, this is about selling.

Your hardware breaks (TPM) and everything that is encrypted is bye-bye. And we all know that hardware can break. And there is that "always backup your keys if hardware breaks". So what's the point of backing up, if that backup can be read by "hackers".

So, once again TPM is bull. So is the requirements for CPUs and DX12

And this kind of selling practice is illegal and punished by law in almost every country in the world. And I hope that MS is reading this, because.....THE LAW!

Oh, did MS told you that due mass production of everything, there is a certain percentage that there will be products that are prone to fail? No? Well, that is mass production.

Why? Because I'm a seller myself. At least I'm not bull****ing customers and I always tell them what is worst, good and best. But I also tell them what downside can be, including mass production.

And furthemore, they even do not know how to fix or improve Windows 10 and they are shooting for Windows 11. Just a makeover of W10. MS can change Core, UI, UX, much everything in W10, just by updating. They don't want it. Because....MARKETING. and bull PR statements.

i used window 11 on core i7-6500 processor and it works flowlessly with unbelivable speed and less cpu usage as window 10
