Windows 11 Related Discussion [NOT OFFICIAL]

As a recent article stated... MS is setting up Windows 11 to be the next Windows 8 by not listening to their loyal customers. They disabled and removed comments on their recent YouTube video about Windows 11 after thousands of down votes and only a few likes. They could easily require new OEM systems be built with the enhanced security and still allow perfectly fine computers that people already have to use the latest OS.

I myself will refuse to buy a new Windows system if they artificially prevent my current computer from running Windows 11.

So many companies that ruled their industry go down by ignoring loyal customers. Take a lesson from new Coke MS! Listen to your fans.

Whether or not a processor can run Windows 11 smoothly is not the criterion. What matters is whether a processor or motherboard can run Windows 11 securely, because Windows 11 is at present mostly a security update (with a theme pack.) Microsoft has to fight off increasingly sophisticated and stealthy malware, including ransomware, so it needs to run on hardware with sufficient security chops.

Since Windows 11 is still under active development, and will remain so for several more months, it's not possible for Microsoft or anyone else to make definitive judgements about what hardware will and won't run Windows 11. Just have in mind that, for now at least, security is the most important qualifier.
