@Upex - what troubleshooting steps have you tried? Did you try the registry change to disable HTTP/2, mentioned in several threads on this topic? That seems to resolve the issue for most users. A more aggressive workaround is rolling back to an earlier version of http.sys, which other users have reported as resolving the issue. I've also seen suggestions including uninstalling various updates, disabling SSL in project properties, running Fiddler to intercept and parse web traffic, and doing a "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" followed by an "sfc /scannow".

I'd try the registry change first, if you haven't already.

Getting pretty annoyed by this issue. I'm doing IT support for almost 100 developers, most of whom are experiencing this issue. Sure hope Microsoft puts out a fix this coming Patch Tuesday!

I am also experiencing the same issue. I tried various troubleshooting steps. Even I clean installed Windows.

None of the solutions helped. I can pretty much reproduce the issue by using VS 2019 with IIS. As a workaround I'm using is VS debugging with Kestrel. But I started seeing a new error code yesterday.

I had the same issue on 2 machines, both Windows 10 (not latest Windows Update, H20 I think), VS19, IISExpress Chrome

Followed the instructions here (posted before by different user):

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    sfc /scannow

Then I installed the latest Updates (H21).

Both machines work now without a BSOD.

I added the registry key and have not had a GSOD/BSOD since. Thanks for providing this workaround, I'm now able to work again.

I created it as public, I don't know why it's showing some people access denied.
