Not so fast! On installing this update.
Installed KB5003690 (tried) on five rigs. Three no issue, one refused to install, and worst of all one started BSOD constantly after installing. Removed from that rig and all was fine and returned to normal. Reinstalled KB5003690 to verify this was the issue and yes, the BSOD issues returned, again uninstalled and all returned normal again. I'm satisfied in saying that KB5003690 is / was the issue.

2021-07-09T16:57:16+00:00 I believe you must use safe mode to uninstall due to them incorporating changes to the servicing stack as part of the update.
The option to uninstall is disabled if.you are not in safe mode
This was my experience in with both updates

Dont use registry cleaners, they do more harm than good.
This hasnt really been an issue since Windows NT came a long for consumers.
Best case scenario when using registry cleaners is, nothing happens (you wont get a speed increase, your pc wont start faster, absolutely nothing), worst case, you ruin your windows install, you make random things stop working, random BSODs etc etc etc.

CCleaner and Wise Care 365. Have used religiously for many years without any issues.

2021-07-09T17:30:38+00:00 I've upgraded to 20H2 three times, and on every occasion it's unreliable, with K Mode Exceptiom not handled error.
I've rebuilt from scratch aafter wiping the disk and same thing occurs. Win 7 installs OK and Unix from USB works fine. So it looks like an OS problem, specially as I have only an old version of office and smartsuite on.
