KB5003690 BSOD

Not so fast! On installing this update.

Installed KB5003690 (tried) on five rigs. Three no issue, one refused to install, and worst of all one started BSOD constantly after installing. Removed from that rig and all was fine and returned to normal. Reinstalled KB5003690 to verify this was the issue and yes, the BSOD issues returned, again uninstalled and all returned normal again. I'm satisfied in saying that KB5003690 is / was the issue.

    1. what's you preferred method to clean the registry?

    Dont use registry cleaners, they do more harm than good.

    This hasnt really been an issue since Windows NT came a long for consumers.

    Best case scenario when using registry cleaners is, nothing happens (you wont get a speed increase, your pc wont start faster, absolutely nothing), worst case, you ruin your windows install, you make random things stop working, random BSODs etc etc etc.

    I believe you must use safe mode to uninstall due to them incorporating changes to the servicing stack as part of the update.

    The option to uninstall is disabled if.you are not in safe mode

    This was my experience in with both updates

    I have a Brother and a HP printer, both have been off for over a month (as in not plugged in to power off, had no need to print).

    All my comps are connected the same way to them, via WIFI.

    Currently on 42 hours without BSOD! 5004945
